Wow, has it been FOREVER since I've written a post! I actually do have a lot to say, but life lately has been so busy. I'm sure so many of you can relate.
My daughter (first child!) started preschool this last week. CRAZY! I have mixed emotions of excitement for her and feeling old! She absolutely loves school. Boy is she ever a little social butterfly! I found an old progress report of mine in a scrapbook. You know what it said? Hehehe...I think it was first or second grade. I was doing well in school..woo hoo! Under teachers notes "Social butterfly. Shauna still hasn't figured out where her seat is yet, or how to stay in it." Yup, that about sums me up in those days! It seems that my little preschooler has taken after me. The first day I dropped her off she was off like there was no tomorrow. She didn't even bother to say goodbye! I had to call her back to me to give me a hug! Like I said though, she loves it. I'm so glad. She is so smart, so I'm glad she is able to socialize and learn in a good environment.
Now on to some great reading. I ran across two articles that I really like:
Finding Hope in Acceptance. It talks about pain and dealing with chronic pain. I know, just like many others dealing with chronic pain, that it's hard to accept that it will be apart of your everyday life. This is a great article to read through. (On a side note, sometimes you don't have to accept that is how life is going to be. If anyone is going to fight for you to get better and find an answer, it is going to be yourself. There's a fine line between finding hope and fighting for an answer.)
7 Ways to Fight Chronic Pain. This article talks about some practical ways to fight chronic pain in your life. Depending on what type of pain you have, they can be very helpful. No matter what you're going through, it's important to keep living your life and not give up!
You're amazing. Be well.
